The exact amount of money needed for maintaining EECH Central is hard to tell, because the owner (WereWolf) runs multiple servers (for more than 1 game). The server on which EECH-Central runs on costs EUR 130.- (roughly USD $120) per month. Approx 20% of it's bandwidth and processing power are used by eechcentral and the multiplayer masterserver.
Donating, although much appreciated, is completely voluntary.
About PayPal
PayPal is a free service allowing payments and money transfers to be made through the Internet. PayPal is safe to use and is owned by eBay (PayPal handles eBay payments as well).
Note: If you open a new account it takes several days before a bank transfer has replenished your PayPal account.
